Korea South East Power Co., Ltd was established on April 20, 2001 as an autonomous power company after having been spun off from KEPCO in a bid of the Korea Government’s organizational restructuring of the power industry. Currently, KEPCO owns 100% of KOEN ownership.
KOEN is operating and maintaining 10.71% power generation of total Korea’s 78.2 million Kw capacity. KOEN is currently running six power plants of a total capacity of 9,175,000Kw. On the basis of experience with 24 unit power plant construction and operation, KOEN is expanding its business area into the world such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, China, Thailand and Pakistan.
KOSEP/KOEN owns 76% shareholding in KOAK Power Limited.
